Project

Ermineskin Alternative School

The newly built Ehpewapahk Alternative School for the Ermineskin Cree Nation was completed in just four months using 14 wood-framed modular sections, including two modular clerestories, to create a modern and inspiring learning environment for students pursuing their diplomas. Hibco Construction provided full turnkey services, including civil work, grade beam foundation and mud slab installation, full module setting, structural and architectural complexing, PVC roofing tie-ins with rooftop clerestories, exterior metal cladding, and complete interior finishes. The facility includes classrooms, study spaces, and recreational areas designed to support student success while reflecting the community’s strong commitment to education. Completed on time and on budget, the project incorporated local labor and advanced modular construction technology, delivering a significant improvement over the previous portable buildings used by the Ermineskin Cree School Division.
